Updated by the Vice-Chairman Janice Dunkerley Archer on 1st February 2012

THE BCA AGM WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY 17th FEBRUARY AT OPON, 18.00.

We sent out the invitations, with paying-in slips for 2012 membership fee,

in January. We hope you still wish to be a Member of the BCA in 2012.

Welcome to the BCA AGM!

Annual Membership fee for 2012

for singles will be 200 SEK and for couples will be 300 SEK.

The BCA Committee 2012-2013: Volunteers needed!

Please remember that we will be needing some new candidates for the Committee,

as both your Chairman and Treasurer will be standing down.

So PLEASE nominate new candidates as soon as possible! Contact Erik Durrant.

Do you have any friends who would like to join the BCA?

We have new attractive visiting cards,

which are being distributed at our various events.

We hope we will find these a useful means of recruiting new members to the BCA, so please hand them to prospective members.

Please make sure you enrol for our events in good time in order to enable us to cater efficiently.  We must respect the number of people that OPON can hold.

2nd February 2012;  Sad news has reached the Chairman about one of our longest-standing members: William Russell from Sigtuna passed away at the weekend and will be sorely missed by friends and family. He was extremely active in the BCA for many years prior to his retirement. The Chairman and Committee of the BCA wish to offer their condolences to Rita Russell and family.

Good news for BCA members who would like to shop from the John Lewis Partnership. They have just started marketing their goods on line and are keen to attract customers in Sweden. Check them out at www.johnlewis.com.

The Committee intends to contact the majority of members through this site.

We also plan to send out 2/3 Newsletters a year, to those members without computers, so that they can also receive information.

The e-mail addresses given on the BCA website appear rather strange

(AT instead of @, for example) but this is to stop various automatic programmes

from snapping up the published addresses and sabotaging them!
